Visitors of the “Tree of My Life” Charitable Foundation feel like they are at home. After all, this is exactly the kind of atmosphere that is favorable for restoring mental health and was intended to be created here. They deal with vulnerable people. In particular, they provide psychological support to the military, their families, and all those in need. Classes are held in small groups upon request and for different age groups. The second area of the organization’s activities is social and psychological support for people aged 60+. Educational and cultural activities are also important in today’s society, as the full-scale war has changed Ukrainians. Therefore, balance, stabilization, and resources are necessary for everyone. We started with 7 volunteers, now we have 24 and still lack staff. The charitable organization was established on March 1, 2022. Its branches operate in three Zakarpattia cities: Uzhhorod, Mukachevo, and Svaliava. People here are happy to share their experience. Half a thousand people visit the three branches of the organization every month, and since its foundation, more than 2,500 have received systematic support. The challenges of the war, needs and tasks were discussed in a warm atmosphere during the working visit of the head of the Zakarpattia Regional Organization of Veterans Affairs. Myroslav Biletsky said he would visit all charitable organizations in the region that work with the military and their families to study the real situation and develop a mechanism for quality cooperation. During the dialog, they exchanged views on what needs to be improved, how to establish effective cooperation with the regional municipal institution VDOMA. Next, a working group will be set up and effective proposals will be developed. In particular, they plan to implement a project to attract veterans to work. By the way, there are already more than 17 thousand of them in Zakarpattia.
