The Svaliava center of the “Tree of My Life” charity foundation provides free psychological support to military personnel and their families.
Recently, the fifth meeting of a series of supportive group sessions for the military took place. This was reported to Svaliava.net by Olena Gerzheniy, the head of the Svaliava branch of the charity foundation.
“The contribution made by the military is invaluable to us. They guard our peace, fight for our independence, and protect our native land from enemy invasion. And, of course, to say that it is difficult for them is an understatement. The “Tree of My Life” charity foundation wants to support the military and their families. That is why the classes are held at the Svaliava branch. If they feel even a little bit better, we will be happy,” says Olena.
Support groups for the military also operate in Uzhhorod. Also in Mukachevo and Uzhhorod, they are recruiting for military families. For those whose loved ones are missing, are in captivity, or were killed in the war.
The classes raise difficult and painful topics that are difficult to talk about. Among them is the loss of comrades, friends, and colleagues who are missing or may have been taken prisoner. However, in an atmosphere of trust and acceptance, the military share their pain and experiences.
This project is supported by the French Solidarity Foundation.
